Quick Revo's install question....

Have a quick question / opinion for you guys ??

 

Have 02 HD - Indigo Blue and will be getting 265 Revos put on it Thursday morning.....and was wondering if I should put the White lettering out or in ???

 

The wife wants it in......

I'm not sure ???

 

Suggestions - Pics ??? - Let me know.

You know, the Indigo Blue is not only the best looking but also the strongest of the HDs.

Letters out. But make sure you purchase a decent tire sidewall cleaner so the lettering will stay bright and white. Even if you don't put the shiny stuff on the sidewall, the tire will still look good if an application of the cleaner is done just before you wash your truck.

BTW. The "sidewall" looks different on the white vs black side. On the revo's it actally has somwhat of a tread on the edge of the sidewall and its differnt on the black side. I actally kind of like the black side better, just wish it had the white letters on thats ide.

i went with black out. I like my choice. if you are sticking with the oe rims, i'd go with white out.

White letters out. I went with Toyo Open Countries, the tire shops I talked with have had better mileage and performance with the Toyo's. Time will tell, I will let you know in about 50,000 miles, but so far I love them.

I have just put those very tires on my black HD with the letters out, it looks great. I'm not a white wall type of quy, these are the first set of tires I've ever put whites out on but I'm pleased with the look. Being the outline is thin it's not overdone and adds an agressive aire to the truck. It had 285 X-Terrains with blackwalls before, this is better.

Thanks for the quick replies.....these are going on the Factory Aluminum Rims - so it looks like White lettering wins hands down.

 

I too have not been a white lettering guy either......but the looks of your guys trucks with it - look really nice.

I really like the way the BFG's lettering looks. But the Revo's outlined white lettering didn't do it for me.

Unless you are driving a muscle car, white letters go IN. We drive classy trucks, and white letters out is kinda redneck (not that there's anything wrong with that!). You can all hate me now.

Black wall facing out. I alway mount them that way even though I am a redneck! Looks better/classier and it is easier to keep it clean. I live on a dirtroad and keeping the white clean and shiny is not an option. Yeehah!
