DRL disabling?

Im having a problem with my headlight lenses yellowing and im thinking this has something to do with my HID setup constantly on with the DRL's. I would like to know if there is any way I can either make my parking lights or my high beams as my DRL. Or if there is an export switch made for countries that dont allow DRL's?? Anyon have that part number??

I have seen GMT400 trucks with yellowed lenses and some dont have DRL's. Its the blasting of dirt/bugs thet seem to dull the lense surface. My friend had the problem and just polished the lenses with a scratch polish and keeps them waxed.

The insurance companies say that the DRL's have saved 29% accidents of pedestrians alone not to mention the headon collisions avoided.

I would try just polishing the lenses. :seeya:

I had a DRL burn out and it 'smoked over' the plastic lens. is there an easy way to clean this or will it stay that way.

I replaced the drl's with ambers. One is now clouded :seeya: and the other is clear.

i was considering getting a set of aftermarket ones since they will just keep clouding up and yellowing. What do you think?
