4x4 problem?

I had a lift kit put in my truck last march. I only used the 4wd once on the beach last summer but it felt fine. This past week I had a reason to use it. Now for some reason the front dif is really noisy and vibrates alot. It also takes a minute or so to disengage.

 

Any ideas on what it might be or where to start looking for problems?

Are the carrier housing bolts tight?...just a thought
