Hey guys, I got another question. I noticed that when i push the tow/haul button on my 99silverado that the RPM goes up slightly. What exactly is this button for and what is the proper way to use it?

Holds the gears longer and firms up the shifts up to 65-70 mph. No wrong way to use it, I use mine as a sort of "race" mode in irritating traffic.

Intended use I'd believe is for hauling a heavy load or towing same. Basically it helps you get moving and up to speed and tries to prevent some of the hunting the transmission might do when speeding up or slowing down.
