Even at my advanced age(44) I am beginning to like some of the new rock songs. One I hear on the radio, but never do they give the title or artist. I THINK the lyrics go something like this: to love a God, and to fear (or feel) the flame?

won't be rain, and there won't be starlight now?

I allow you to make fun of me if you will only tell me the artist and song title.

AHHHHH, what the heck is the bands name. I'll have you know I'm soaring through about 1000 mp3's to find it. I thought collective soul at first, but it doesn't seem to be them.

Don't worry, I won't make fun of you, it's an awesome song and I know I have it here somewhere, they don't play it on the radio enough.

That is actually an older song, (1994) The band is called "Live" album is Throwing Copper. It's track #2, the song is called Selling the drama.

Good stuff.

Yeah, I've got Throwing Copper and Secret something or another, some strange word, but a few other songs you may want to download by live are:

I alone

Lightning Crashes

All Over You

Collective Soul, Nickelback, 3 doors down, and (our favorite moderator's most loved band) creed.

They are all good light rock music. Collective soul is pretty comparable to Live and a great band.

Speaking of Live and Collective Soul...Anybody know what happened to them?

Last popular song I've heard from live was "Dolphins cry". After that it's like they fell off the map.

And I haven't heard any new stuff from CS even longer than Live.

I haven't heard much from collective soul or Live. I did get the collective soul greatest hits cd.

Live had a cd released in 2001 called "V". Has a good song on it called "Overcome". They played it alot shortly after 9/11 with video footage of the twin towers, recue workers, etc. Pretty touching video. Good song too.

They also released another one in 2001 called "Maximum Live" I'm guessing it was a live album.
