Air injection or not...

If I have air injection on my '97 454 Vortec would it be very obvious? On my '86 350 suburban and my '88 454 motorhome it was VERY obvious with huge pipes and pumps attached to the exhaust manifolds. I don't see anything except an EGR port toward the back of the manifold. I am looking at the Banks exhaust system and need to know if I have to order the air injection manifolds or the non air injection ones. Thanks for any assistance.

It would have an belt driven AIR pump. I work as a mechanic in Texas and I rarely if ever see one with air nowadays. One of our scanners always asks. If I had to guess I would say it's most likely to be a California emmissions type truck that has it.

I'd say it's pretty obvious. Also, on the white emission label, you know the one that used to contain timing settings, plug gap, etc., over on the top right of the label where it says CATALYST, it'll list the various types of emission components underneath that, like egr/h02s and if it has AIR, it would probably list it as SAI or AIR.
