Chevy Orange

Anybody know what the factory calls the Orange they have been putting on the newer trucks and how rare it is? I know that Harley-Davidson calls it Aztec Orange. I've only seen it in person once and thought it was kinda cool and since no dealer has been able to find a 4 door z71 LT step side like I want I might as well make it as difficult as possible.

What about that super yellow color GMC showed on shortbed step sides 2 years ago.I have yet to see one.

I was happy to see Gm was actually offering a new color on there trucks.  I love that Sunset Orange color, it would have been my first choice when the time comes around for a new truck.  Too bad then had to discontinue it.

 

btw, you can still get a truck in that color if you really, really want it.  And 4 other people do as well....

I have the 97 Chevy Silverado 2500, it's green with the tan trim....what is the specific name for the green?

Come up to Canada, We had lots up here last summer in the Orange, my brother in law bought one,  just Avalanches now.

Yep...It is Sunset Metallic Orange...there is a '01 Silverado outside my house that is that color (mine...hehe.. )  It is one of the best looking colors I have ever seen on a truck; it sucks that they discontinued it, but then again it is kinda cool, cause it makes my truck rare and kinda unique.  I have only seen one truck with the same color around here, and there is a couple of million people here with billions of tourist.

Forgot one other thing.  How many of you guys knew you could actually get a new Gm truck painted Silver.  Not pewter, an actual silver color (which looks really good btw).  Just takes the same process that getting a sunset orange truck does now....
