t bars and rear blocks

so whats the deal with keys and blocks? at first I thought they crank up/put-on-new-keys-and-THEN-crank-up the T-bars, and then in the back they basically put blocks under the body. but then my friend today was telling me they put the blocks somewhere else, so it makes like a suspension lift.

 

can't really find anything on the internet about it, just wondering if someone who knows a thing or two about it could explain it to me.

They put the blocks between the spring packs and the spring perch on the rear axle.

now does anyone know what kinds of shops do add-a-leafs? is it simple enough for tire shops to install, or is it something a lift shop does?

i'd just put in a block instead of an add a leaf, much more simple, you can do it yourself.
