tmf6902 Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Bags Start Rant First, I reuse my bags, they make great pet crap recepticals. Second, Plastic grocery bags are basically worthless, they can't hold more than 2 or 3 cans, and they always rip....the only thing they're really good for is cleaning up after above said pet Thrid, If I lived in CA, and they did this to me, everytime I went grocery shopping I would take my cart with me, in the bed of the truck. Until they start renting the carts out for 5 bucks an hour. Sure am glad I don't live in San Fran End Rant
Scyry Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Gogo California politics...so glad I don't live there anymore.
MCourson Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Yea but why would you charge the people actually causing the problem when you can just charge everyone?
99silveradoz71 Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 That's pretty crazy stuff. Around here, most people use the plastic bags to put small amounts of trash or recycling items in if they're blue.
Elwood 2000 Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Without getting involved in my political views here, wouldn't this "fee" make people switch back to paper sacks which would inturn cause the mass murder of millions of trees instead of thousands, thus getting the environmental groups underwear in a twist again?? I dunno, it seems that common sense is not so common anymore.

mcreyaufmiller Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Sounds to me like the land of the fruits and nuts is going overboard again. I was offered a nice job if I moved to CA, told them I would take it if I could telecommute, but I refused to move to that heck hole.
