Have you guys seen the new truck that Honda is coming out with? I'm kinda just blown away by a "Honda Truck" it just doesn't seem right. Wondering what you guys think, I know it will probably be a little one sided

From the early pictures I seen it looked like they kind of copied the avalanche

It is in the new issue of TT. They call it the Ridgeline. It looks alot like an Avalanche. The writer said that it was a small truck(like the other Jap one on the market) compared to the other full sizes.

I saw that on the Detroit Auto show on TV last night.  The trunk has a drain so you can fill it with ice and your drink of choice.  Nice Idea.

I think one or both of the side saddle bins on the Av have that feature, too.

I had an employee that inherited a company car from a previous employee. He cleaned it up, but both he and his parents couldn't get a bad smell out of the car. Eventually, they looked in the spare tire well and didn't find a tire. It was half full with water and a dead fish. Apparently, the previous employee used it to ice fish on a fishing trip.

I will feel sorry for every person I see driving a Honda Truck! What a joke! I just don't see a market for it. Anyone seriously considering a full size truck won't even consider it. The engine is a joke, no power. I at least have to give Nissan props for coming out with a legit powerful engine in the market. Have you seen Toyota's new attempt at a "new" motor, all new 282hp, I guess for a 7/8th's fullsize truck, not bad. I just don't understand who at Honda decided it was a good idea to come out with a vehicle that will not sale more than maybe 25K, which is just a fraction of the truck market. Probably cost them more in R&D than they will make. Chris

This sucker is called the "ridgeline". Yea, only a 255-ish HP six. Max towing around 5K.

Give me my V-8, but I would trade fuel bills with it tho.

No midgate, so you are stuck with the little bed. Yea, the saddlebags on the 'lanche can hold ice (they have drains), but they are not insulated.

Of course it's smaller than the avalanche, but might be just the right size for the wannabe's. It's a honda, so it will be quiet, reliable, and effecient. They should sell all they can build. I hope it's being built in the states.

We are "discussing" it over at CAFCNA, too.

I've seen the guts already. It's an Acura MDX/Honda Pilot powertrain setup. You know...the one with no other mode than full time all wheel drive and no 4 low mode. Perfect for a truck right? :rolleyes

have you guys seen the undercarrage of the pilot? it looks like it's begging to get ripped apart offroad, things hanging down everywhere. suspesion curves all over the place, just waiting to get snagged
