CD Reciever for 1989 GMC 1500

I am looking for a CD reciever for a 1989 GMC 1500. It looks as if the 2x7x7 players will not fit in the areas in my dash. I currently have a AM/FM radio with a cassette. Any Ideas?

Basically, you have two options.

Take the current radio portion out, and put a "pocket" in there (a few bucks at a salvage yard), and put a CD player in where your tape deck is now.

~Or~

Leave the radio in (unhooked), and put a CD player in where your tape deck is now.

If you want pics of what a CD player in where the tape deck was looks like, let me know, I'll post a couple tomorrow.

OK, give me a couple of hours, and I'll stick one up here. I didn't feel like pulling the factory head unit, so I went with option 2

A little piece of advice...If you're buying a new CD player, buy one with a remote. It doesn't seem like it's that far away until you start fiddling with it at 60 mph. You'll thank me later.
