Ballpoint pen ink on leather

Six days ago I had a full livingroom suite delivered. It is all very soft Italian Leather. Tonight I noticed 2 ballpoint pen marks on it. Does anyone know how to get them out? The hairspray and rubbing alcohol ideas scare me a little.

The moral of the story is that you can never own anything nice if you have kids in the house!!!

Oxyclean?

Simple Green maybe?

I'm out of idears...Sorry to hear it though.

**Edit**

I asked around, and I'm also getting WD-40 or baby wipes as answers quite a bit.

OK, a girl that restores books told me that they use "Goof-Off" with great success on leather-bound books.

Of course, any of the above should be tested in an inconspicuous location before using it directly on the stain.

Another option would be the leather cleaner that you can buy where you bought the furniture.

I have a whole kit that came with my leather love seat. Havn't had a need for it up to this point, so I couldn't tell you how good it is.

Shane, i've used non-scented hair spray on leather car seats quite a bit. Works like a charm. Just use sparingly, then wipe with warm water/soap to clean the spray off.

Remember, NON SCENTED.

I got it out!!!

I used a diluted rubbing alcohol. Followed with alot of dabbing with the solution and then blotting with a clean towel. Finally I put some leather conditioner on it when I was done.

This method works very well, just DO NOT RUB. Just dab and blot...
