NO MORE NOISES!!!!!!

I just switched over to the New Mobil 1 Extended Protection (15,000 change interval) and all the noises just stopped. No more piston slap , no more noises that sound like it needs a valve adjustment. Finally!!!!!

What weight were you running before you put in the 10-30?

I tried the 0w30 and the 10w30- this one claims to have twice the additive package.

Just so we're clear Gixxer, you were running the old Mobil 1 10w30, and this new M1 EP 10W-30 made that big of a difference???

Gee I have put over 200k on a couple of engine with mobile one with no problems and still use the basic (cheaper and I just bought a jug yesterday too) Mobile one in a 89 burb with 170k that I have had since new and it is quiet as can be and uses maybe a quart ever 3500 miles or so today and runs like a top too. I generally use 5000 mile intervals when I drive it on trips and change filter and top off oil at 3000 miles.
