Yesterday I decided to work some overtime in the plant and I worked on the line with a kid that was braggin up his 94 chevy F/S that he just bought the other day. (Its a 350 TBI BTW) He was saying how fast it was and stuff, I listened to him for awhile, then I told him that he should line up with me. He laughed, he said, "and what do you drive" I said "I got a little s-10".... At this time the lunch bell rang and every one in the plant scattered out of the building like pissed off ants.

There was about 10 minutes left on lunch break and I was sitting in my white s-10 in the parking lot eating a sandwich. And that kid just happened to park straight across from me. (front bumper to front bumper, and his truck is rusted out and nasty looking) I see him point and laugh, and he walks in to the building.

So I make my way back into the plant and start working again. He eventually comes back to my area and starts commenting on how fast that pile of truck he has. I told him, "I'll race you for a two-four of longnecks". The kid laughed and said "your on, I like bud, pick it up on your way" I said where do you want to line up, he said the airport road at 2:30 am, (after work). I said allrighty, see ya then. Being I didn't work a full shift I left at about 10:30.

I rolled out to the airport road about 2:25 with my brown truck. All he said is that he would race any gay little s-10 any day of the week, so I brought my other gay little s-10. I pulled up next to him to say lets go. (He knew the truck, he has seen it around I'm sure). As soon as he saw me, he got all wierd and shocked, he stumbled and said "what the heck happened to that white truck? I said, "That was the pace car".

P.S. This post was typed while enjoying a nice cold FREE Bud Light

what all did you have to do to get the 5.7 in there?

Well, first I took the hood off, then I took the 4.3 out, then I put the v-8 in, and put the hood back on.

LOL, j/k

Not much actually, just a matter of getting the right parts and bolting them up.

The White truck is going to be a different story, cutting welding and stuff.

you got to "decide" to work overtime??? that must be nice!!!! Try working at my shorthanded office. I'm only garanteed 4 hours a week......my average over the last four months just hit around 55....I've worked over 9.5 hours the last three days straight.

but I'm paying off the Camaro rather quickly, though :seeya::chevy::cool::)

I guess I really don't have anything else to do anyway!

Well, I drive truck for Marvin Windows, so if I want more cash I can work overtime in the factory when I'm home, at my choice, its not forced, or required.
