I just bought a 2000 Z71 5.3 liter and I want to put dual exhuast on it, I was thinking about the Flowmaster 70 Series dual exhaust kit, I was just seeing if anyone else had this and if they liked it. I want a deep tone, any suggestions?

I picked up the cat back kit with the 70 series from Summit that comes out behind each rear tire. I like how it sounds nice an deep, sounds real good when you stomp on it. I didn't want anything to loud specially when highway driving. Sounds even better as it breaks in.

I have the Flowmaster 70 with a single 3" outlet hidden under the rear bumper. It sounds good when I really step on the gas but isn't too loud and most important there is no drone while cruising down the highway.

My buddy put the 70 series muffler on his truck in the stock location using the stock tailpipe. It's quiet when you want it to be, but if you romp on it, you know that it isn't stock anymore. Plus it creates enough back-pressure to keep you from losing your low-end torque.

I think you would be happier with the 22" bodied magnaflow. It sounds a lot deeper and meaner than flow 70. I think they both sound great but I have to give my nod to the magnaflow. It will be a bit quieter on the highway than the 70(basically stock) but be louder at higher rpms, just like it should be. Give it a look. The downside is that more shops carry the 70 series flow in stock....
