Dunno what that number is... doesn't look like a part number, but in any case, can you tell us the make/model vehicle and the model year?

 

An '85 would probably be a bit different procedure than a '01, so it'd help to know what you're working on.

It is a 80 GM pick up, and that was the part number on the top left hand corner of the box

 

there is another number on back it is 024- 4894-2

 

Dont know if that would be any help?

Is it the Key and lock cylinder or the electrical ignition switch?
