Radio Locked

Installed a Monsoon head unit in my 4500 Kodiak and it played great. 2 days later the lock mode kicked in. Does anyone know the unlock code and how to imput the code. This is the first radio I have had a problem with. I emailed the previous owner to se if he has the code. Thanks for any info. John

As of the 03's and up there is not a lock code, the theftlock is done by matching the truck's VIN to the VIN stored in the headunit. To remove the theftlock a Tech II programmer is needed or a dealer can do it for a fee. That is the way it is on the light duty trucks and SUV's, I can't say if the medium duty trucks use this or not, but I'm assumimg the headunit came from a vehicle that did.
