cd delete pocket

Hey guys,

 

I have a 99 yukon and I just installed an aftermarket cd player and sound system. My Yuk came with a stock cd player in the dash. Does anyone know of a replacement part (on the net) that fits..."cd delete pocket". Just trying to find a better place to put my wallet.

They used to have someting like that at BestBuy...not sure if they do anymore. I know that they have universal pockets that you could make work with a little bit of creativity, hot glue, a sieries of wedges, and old beer can folded just right, and only one sharp screw sticking through the dash that you always have to forwarn your friends about before they hop in.

I once had a 96 Suburban, and replaced the factory HU. The CD Player was in the dash, below the radio. I bought GM Part Number 15958735 "compartment" to fill the void when I removed the CD.

Then I bought a 2000 Yukon New Body Style, replaced the factory HU, and needed a compartment for the Cassette Player I had removed from the lower dash/console area. Upon re-installing the OEM HU and CD in the 96, I decided to try the compartment in the Yukon. Fits perfectly!

I just sucked it up and bought the pocket from the dealer parts store.

I'm out $20 but at least I have a place for my wallet to call home.
