Valve/coil covers

Being a huge vette fan and just recently purchasing the truck I started wondering if there are some covers for the coils similar to the ones on the new vette ? It's similar to the 5.3 externally right ? Would the vette pieces fit ? If this is possible it would be a must do mod for me.

I just put the 6.0L covers on mine to hide the clutter

Those covers don't fit 99 and 00 trucks though, it's something that they started doing in 01

In the October issue of Hot Rod there's a '71 Nova with an LS1 motor. The covers on that motor look like what you might have in mind. Not sure if the intake plenum is the same on the LS1 as on the LM7. Definitely some visual similarities between the two motors though.

Just a question, if the 5.3 is the LM-7, what's the 4.8?

RPO for the 4.8 is LR4.

Well, I've been doing some looking and I haven't found anything that works for the pre 2001 models. I was thinking about getting one of the caps for a 2001 and seeing if w/ a lil' adjustments it might work. But, I don't have the cash for it now.

Obviously, you couldn't make your motor look like the 'Vette, because the top of the plenum is a lot different (it's ugly), so you would need to use some type of plenum cover along with the fuel rail covers.

I'm not sure how much modification would be necessary on the covers, but I think it wuld be possible to make them fit. I've been seeing them on E-Bay, for about $75 a set. Just search parts and accessories for "LS1" I have no idea what the cost for a new set would be.

If anybody gets anywhere with this mod, please post some pics, and details, as I'm thinking it would look trick if done right.
