New shocks are on!!!

Have drove about 15 miles and so far have noticed a few small things which are an improvement

Rear end jacked up and shocks still on

 

 

Rears removed (took 20 min to remove both sides 20-25 min to install the rears)

Didnt get alot of pics on the front.  Light wasnt good

Also the drivers side front was a pain in the butt.  Had a little hard time.  Other front one went on easily.  All in all took 2.5 hrs to install all four plus cleaning both front wheels (and all 4 white walls) and cleaning some grease from the front end

Ok pros/cons of the new shocks

 

cons NONE

 

Pros

 

Thusfar are

 

1. almost no nose dive when braking

2. seems stiffer

3. seems like a truck and not a car

4. not as soft and floaty

 

Hit some good bumps and there is less bounce.  Rebounds instantly unlike the tennecos which you would get some bounce then it would settle back to normal.  The new ones settle right after the bump.  Less bounce in the front end

 

Would i say it was worth it.  Yea so far im happy with it

The more i drive it the more suttle differences (for the better) i feel

With my stock shocks when I hit a bump driving in town even the cracks in the road I get too much of a jar. Rattles the dash every time. With your new shocks do you seem to get a more pleasant response.

Almost no aftershocks once i hit a bump.  With the old ones it seemed like it would bounce a few times after i hit a bump.  Also smaller (cracks as you say) bumps i can barely feel now.

 

Braking seems improved.  More control.  Handling also is a little tigher (at least this is how i would describe it).  Handling improved.

Won't be able to post many more threads about shocks for another 50,000 miles or so

these are lifetime shocks so i cant talk about em anymore
