rvike Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 I need help! I just noticed that the color on my dash is starting to flack off in several areas. Has anyone else had this probem. My truck is a 2002 GMC EX-Cab SLE with tan colored dash. Can this be fixed easily? Is thier a recall on this problem? Thanks.
lrymal Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Is it still under warranty??? I'd take it back and complain, regardless.

Mark_in_Tulsa Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Welcome to the Chevy plastic interior. If its on top of the dash you can do what my friend did and buy one of those carpeted dash mats. It actually looks good, and fits great.
Stocklook Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 This is a very common problem with GM int, my 02 pealed on the passinger side near the OS handle, lucky I was still under warranty. they called and contracted a company that did int repairs. they came out to my work and did the repair. Check with your dealer and see if they have someone you can call and get a price, But check with them sometimes they do a curtisy warranty repair when it is out of warranty

Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Never had this problem..until I starting using Meguaris Dash Foam Cleaner and Protectant. I just started noticing black spots and realize that pieces of the Dashboard are flaking off and bubbling. So, I had to go to a Craft Supply Store and get Acrylic matching color paint to fill in the dark spots. Not sure if, its paint or a rubberized coating on the Dashboard. Thats why I used the Acrylic..did not want to make it any worse than it is. So, far no more flaking, because, I quit using the Meguaris. Have you used any Dash Product on it before, and than had this problem?
