outlaw ????????

Been reading for months about every single air intake system out there.

For some reason the Out law makes sense. What do you think guys ????

You tell us! Sounds like you have read quite a bit about it. Actually I am having one installed next week (while I tweak my HOT tune and get one of those great aeroforce guages) and I too have heard great things about them. I even contacted the company and emailed them about output, loudness etc...seems like a great system. Tom (Tbyrne) has great things to say also...There are a few that have them, I think Bluetahoe, Silver-ado, Butch...let us know what you knwo about them though, I always like to know more. I do have one and I'm very pleased with it. It is a very good quality made product. One of the best aftermarket set ups I've seen. I have no experiance with any other CAI kit out there so I don't have anything to compare it to. I do have one of the new aeroforce intercepter gauges and I can tell from that the outlaw does it's job. Unless I get stuck in traffic my intake air temps never read more then 5-10 degrees more that outside temps. Usually under 5 degrees difference unless it is really sunny.

 

It is a fairly quiet system. It is louder than stock but I have never found it to be annoying or obnoxious. I believe it looks very good under the hood. Looks like a factory part. Fits well and molded to fit perfectly.

 

I can't say it is the best but from what I have read I feel it is the best for the money. There are some other systems out there that sound just as good but most of them cost quite a bit more.

 

Just my opinion but if I had another truck I would hesitate to buy another outlaw.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Outlaw, but don't discount the aFe. That one proved itself to me thru dyno testing.

[What about pulling in water on a heavy rain. Just a thought because of the intake inlet change. Any one have anything to add?

I think it's only a concern if you have ram-air or go thru some seriously deep water.

 

But asking those that do, they say it's never been an issue....
