Buffer

Any reccomendations for a good compact buffer/polisher to wax my 3 vehicles a couple times a year. I'm looking to apply the wax by hand but than buff it off.

I bought a buffer, for the reverse order. Apply the wax with the buffer, then remove it by hand. You can find cheap orbital buffers at Wally World. I purchased a Colman for about $13 bucks. I use it to apply two coats of Maguiar's Carnuba Wax. I even used it to apply Maguiar's scratch remover, #2 cut, to take out some clearcoat scratches I inherited on the deer hunt. Worked awesome. Just take your time and just apply it with very little pressure. Goes on even and you can work the wax into the paint without the extra wax left behind when applying it by hand. Removing buffer-applied wax by hand is almost effortless. I wax twice a year with the buffer and my truck looks showroom perfect, no swirls or blemishes.

You can find it at Lowes or Home Depot, or online at www.premiumautocare.com, where you can also purchase all the pads. Check out www.detailcity.com for all the info you need on it :(
