Silverstar

OK, I have my projector beam lamp kit, and my clear bumper light fixtures are on the way, now I need lights in them.

I'm thinking 9006CB Cool BLue for the low beams and 9005ST for the highs.

I was thinking amber DRL (the search engine stinks lately so I couldn't look up the pn#). and 3157AST for the turns. These are the ones that look kinda blue until lit then turn amber.

I don't know if replacing the fogs is worth it since the lamp housing/reflector may be the biggest problem, not the bulb.

Am I mising something?

I agree that the stock fog lights suck and when mine burn out I will probably try some way of modding the old housing to fit better, brighter lights in. Simply changing the bulb probably won't help your foglights to be any better....

That being said I swear by my Low Beam Silverstars and High Beam Xenons.

Tell us more about those.

Ok now don't hurt me but, I bought them off a fellow on one of the other forums. They are kinda like these.

I had Xenon Low beams in before but, I really didn't like them and then after 6 months one of them burnt out. Also, having my Low Beams stay on with My High beams is choice. I get the benefit of the Xenon Highs and the Silverstar lows...

I only paid like $20 US for the Bulbs and I love'em when they burn out I will definately put Xenon High's back in....

If you like the SilverStar lows so much better than the "Xenon"s, if they have that $10 off sale on the SilverStars again, you may find your high beams will improve similarly.

Yeah I might but, have to wait for Xenon's to burn out first. I don't use my High's too much around here anyways.

The Cool Blues, although cute, do not give off the light that the SS does.  Use the SS all the way around, you will not be dissapointed.

Yea, according to the chart the Cool Blues are better than stock but less than ST's.

I hate to admit it but I was kinda leaning towards cute. I may come to my senses before I commit though. I live in town so I don't really need much out of my lows and I picked the ST's for the highs so I can see the deer before I hit it when I travel out of town.

Anyone have the number for the amber DRL's?

Go to www.sylvania.com and go to their automotive page. It'll tell you every number of bulb for any application. Great site!

Yea, its really not clear about the promotion. It implies that the sweepstakes entries had to be postmarked by the 15th but the rebate is still good until the 31st. It also doesn't make it clear if the rebate is good more than once. Most say one rebate per household. This one doesn't, maybe its ok.

There's noreference to an amber DRL. I know I've seen them here. Maybe there not Silverstar bulbs, just amber.

I love my Silverstars, high and low. I've had them in for about six months and have really gotten used to them. I was in my father-in-law's Furd with his stock lights and could really tell the difference. I won't be going back to stock.

i second this opinion, i have silverstars all the way around and they are bye far the greatest lights i've ever had in a car so far. although expensive, they give more light then any other light i know!!!
