Crank relearn procedure

Hello Everyone,

 

I am a GM-TRUCKS.COM virgin, so be gentle with me. I've been reading here for sometime, but just finally felt compelled to join. I gathered all of my information from here before buying a PCM tune from Jesse. WOW! What a difference.

 

Anyway, here is my question. I saw on here a while back the crank relearn procedure someone posted. I did a search, but apparently couldn't find the right combination of words to find it. I believe it was buried in a thread that was actually about something else. Does anyone remember where it is? I am not having any issues with the tune and no SES light. I called a friend of mine that owns a shop to do the crank relearn for me. He said that he thinks the '05 models do the relearn by themselves, but wasn't sure. He would like for me to find that procedure just to make sure.

 

By the way, I have an '05 GMC Sierra 1500 Z-71 Extended Cab, 5.3 H.O with 3.42s.

If you havent changed the PCM for a different one you do not need a Crank Learn. Once it has learned its done.
