I have a 2001 chevy silverado 4X4, going home today I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel when i was going over 60 mph. I dont know if it was the road or what, but it doesnt do it when i am going slower. Has anyone have this problem and if so how bad does it vibrate.

I guess I'd start simple and work your way thru it to the more difficult.  It's usually the balance, so start w/ that, but also have them check for run-out and out-of-round, either the tire or rim, if that's something the tire place can do easily.

Could also be a broken belt, but usually this won't cause a shimmy unless it's really bad, but it should be pretty noisy, however.

I am assuming you already excluded warped rotors.

I had the steering shaft replacement, like many here, but I never noticed it at highway speed, only slow maneuvering, and mostly when turning.

Good luck.
