Another Dual Battery Question

Recommended Posts

Posted

I installed the dual tray on my '01 2500HD and i'm ready for the next step. Forum search reveals a number of threads on this issue. According to the search, the TP2 is not isolated and TQ3 is isolated. Then there is reference to 8BO as an isolated set up. So how do 8BO and TQ3 differ?

another option i'm seriously considering is a battery manager kit and wiring harness from Wrangler NW Power Products. Any opinion of this comapny and OEM v. aftermarket?

TP2 IS isolated. (600 CCA Isolated Auxillary)

TQ3 is NOT isolated. (770 CCA Non-Isolated Dual Battery H.D.)

8BO was 770CCA with a 600 CCA Auxillary (no longer an Option).
