Hello, What would cause the directional relay to keep ticking almost all the time.? There are no lights blinking and I tried a new relay. This is a '97 Tahoe. Thanks

Are you sure it's the directional relay? It may also be a loose wiring harness causing an intermittent connection. It may also possibly be a bad directional switch....but these are just guess'. I've seen a few cases where a diode in an alternator went bad causing a slight AC current wave, causing relays and solonoids to buzz....It actually happened on my '95 and was causing my 4L60e tranny to "sing" . Without checking it myself with a wiring diagram, test light and voltmeter, all I can do is guess....sorry I couldn't be of more help :D

I used to think that mine stayed on for about 5 seconds after a turn...Until I realized it was just my keychain swinging up against the steering column.

Yeah, I'm not too sharp on some days. :D
