The front doors look smaller, like the mega cab is just an optical illusion or something. And well, what can you say about that redneck fender flare on the back??? I'm wondering where the front one to match is? Dont get me wrong, I like the redneck flares front and rear with some huge tires stuffed in there but Dodge is using them the wrong way LOL.

What where they thinking?!!! The new style Dodges are awful looking. It looks completely out of proportion and doesnt look very tough! I would have to agree that the fender flares dont do anything for that truck they look out of place! Maybe with BIGGER tires it would look better but i dont know that theres much hope for that!

The messages here made me curious, so I went to the local Dodge dealer during lunch break. I just wanted to see how much room there is in the back and front. I sat in one as a driver, then as a behind-the-driver-seat passenger.

There is a bunch of room in this hauler. I was able to adjust the driver's seat all the way back and still had a lot more leg room in the back seat than my Chevy Crew Cab.

I didn't really pay attention to other details, but just in the leg room, this truck excels.

What I'm impressed the most is you can get standard box bed on it at 6'3" unlike the GM crew of 5'8".

7 inches can make a difference. (insert joke here)

But I was wondering if they were ever going to put a dually on that thing.

On the whole Doge trucks have taken a design turn for the worse I would say. When the original "big rig" body style came out I thought they looked awesome. Now? BLEACHK! My buddy is the head mechanic over at a Dodge Dealership and he tells me that the tranny's are still worth *$(^@*. In responce to the 5'8 box available on the GM crewcabs, My 2005 Crew Cab has a 6'6" box but it was only available with the QS. I wonder if you can put a QS box on a regular crewcab? Now that might be a viable option for you guys with the real short short box.

The 5'8" short box is only available on the Denali and 1500 trucks with the crew cab option.

The 6'6" short box is the box available on the 1500HD and up trucks with the crew cab option.

I have to agree that the dodge truck does look out of proportion.

Also that big cab makes the bed look like it is about 4'0" long.

Is it me, or do they look like the type of flares used on the old Dodge trucks circa 1970s-1993? The flares on those looked like they weren't originally supposed to be there, but a little sheetmetal and 3M tape and viola! Instant dually.

At least the Dodge boys had a little bit of style sense and made the flares to be integrated into the box from '94-'06, save for this particular model, allowing for a smoother look out back.
