Make your car sound like any car you want.

Let’s face it: you’re probably not going to get that souped up hot rod you always wanted. But at least your current car can sound like the muscle car of your dreams.

VroomBox utilizes a powerful microprocessor to digitally recreate the sound of 15 different cars and fantasy vehicles, and play them through speakers under the car. It even includes special effects such as screeching tires and turbo blow-off valves that trigger automatically. And you can download more cars and effects from the web. Sounds and effects are controlled from a small faceplate with a backlit display that fits neatly on or under the dash.

I spend a couple of hundred in my Flowmaster system.

Why would I spend $$$$ to make my truck sound like a Vespa???

Ridiculous!

I wish I had thought of that! :gmc:

This is just unbelivable! Then again, who'd have thought people would weld coffee cans to their tailpipes... It just seems to me that with all the money people spend making their cars look 'different' (OK, that sounds PC enough?) they could spend the money more wisely and make them faster and handle better.

OK, I admit, I don't get it, but ain't America great??!! Probably, most of them want to add cubic inches, but can't. You won't catch what you're fishing for with a Kia that sounds like a Ferrari Daytona. You gotta have the right bait.

what a freaking joke. if you want a v8 sound then buy a v8. I can see it now when a 4 banger rolls up sounding like a v8 and everyone sits and laughs at them.

Well, trying to milk this product a bit. Let's try to legitimize things a bit. Let's pretend my truck has a small v-8. You do the usual exhaust thing and it looks good with chrome stuff sticking out the back, but it sounds, well, like an exhausted-out small V-8. Just doesn't have the deep-throat sound that the waay-cool exhaust sez that you have. Sounds like an itty-bitty V-8 with a big exhaust.

Install this and everyone will think you have a bad-dawg 454 with mean heads and pipes. You don't even have to race it.

OK, did I do it? Did that kinda make it sorta, maybe worthwhile? Maybe?

You can put whatever words with it you want, but it's still lame. For that reason I have every confidence it will do extremely well in the ricer world.

Hey, lrymal, thanks for giving us a chance to know about this thing!

I think it's pretty cool.

Think of being able to turn *off* your bad ass sound when you don't want it. And now you can change it any time you want. V10 today, Moped tomorrow. Space ship sound the day after that.

Then after you get this set up, you could modify it and play laser weapon sounds instead of the "horn" when you want to get somebody out of your way. Could even include the "explosion" sounds. You'd need 400W to make it sound realistic. It'd be great!

Select your weapon and fire away!

It's such a good idea I'll be surprised if it doesn't catch on.

Even if everyone was interested in it....I dont see how it could sound so "realistic". I mean...each engine has a distinct sound. Yes computers are great and very technologically advanced....but I don't see it sounding as "authentic" as it claims. Just my 2 cents.
