After a bad experiance at my dealer. I began to wonder how your guys/gals rate your own dealer. After my recent episode I give mine a 90%.

I RATED 100% for my dealer-as a dealer. You know, as cars salesmen go my dealer takes care of me. I get full synthetic oil changes for $40 (Mobile 1) and parts at dealer cost.

I have been dealing with these guys for years and they've learned it's cheaper for them to just give me the deal up front and not waste the time haggeling! Besides, the owner is a long time friend.

Mine is Scoggin-Dickey in Lubbock. Everyone's the best from the body shop(don't ask) to the service center. And don't forget, they're known worldwide in the performance industry. Scoggin Dickey Parts Center is world class. They've been featured as the source in numerous magazine articles and tv engine buildups. If you're looking for genuine GM parts or a hella 572 ci turnkey crate engine, these are the guys to turn to!

Since I work at a dealer I had to go with 95-100%!!

If only the parts department dudes can think outside the box and realise parts for their 3/4 and 1 ton trucks do fit a 1/2 ton, I be happier than a pig in sh**. Mind you, they have a place downtown selling Caddies and Buicks so I figure they folks are a bit better in the awareness side of things...

I voted 90-95%. Only had one problem and was the service manager.

He told me that if I follow the Oil Life Monitor that GM wouldn't warranty

the motor if there were any problems. My response to him was "How well do

you like your job?"

Other that little squabble, they have done everything that I have requested.

Dealer is Laura Buick/GMC is Collinsville Illinois.

Only reason I rated my dealer as completely satisfied is because of the salesman I deal with. I have followed him around to different dealerships because he always takes care of people that have bought from him. He even got fixed a few things for me when my previous truck was out of warranty. When I have a problem, I go to my salesman and it is taken care of without hassle. Hard to find a decent salesman who cares. That is my two cents. -JaH

i work for a dealer. they take care of me very well and take care of anyone that comes in using me for a refference. ever seen a truck get a trans warrentied with a radix on it and a much bigger than stock cam... and that's just one example...

Having worked at one of the largest Chevy dealers in the nation, I guess I'd have to give it a 50% score, I've seen them screw customers over big time, and I've seen them go out of the way to help customers as well. I will never buy a new vehicle from a dealer again however. I have no trust at all in auto salesmen.

Well.. the dealer that I purchased my last 2 trucks is gone, actually it was 2 different dealers, but the same people. The other dealer close by is the pits. But thats what GM wants, big dealers with fancy showrooms. Not a dealer that i can buy a truck from over the phone, and takes my personal checks at delivery. It was sort of sad when the first owner sold, after daewoo collapsed, he had just become a daewoo dealer and had about 100 cars when daewoo up and vanished. The group he sold to had thier cars removed by GM about 3 months ago in the middle of the night. Car carriers lined up and loading them up. I guess there was some bill paying issues. They still do service, but there is only a few people left.

slemmer,Can you explain what you mean? The only reason I'm asking is because I'm an asst. parts manager at a GM dealer.

Like you said,Some parts are the same for the 1/2 tons and the HD's like body parts/panels and interior trim. But suspensions, axles, frames and drivetrains are different between the two.

And you have more faith in a used car salesman? The whole ill never by new again went out the window with incentives and rebates. Why by someones possible used nightmare with 15k or more on it for 1,1.5k less then a brand new one with it's entire warranty remaining and not have to worry about if the previous owner was a jacka##!

Well I got to tell you that I bought used. The truck was a 2005 Silverado crewcab LT with quadrasteer. The truck had 20,630 miles on it and was imaculate. It was a GM cerified used vehicle and was provided with a carfax report. The truck new was 44,787.00 and I payed 24,987.00. I could not be more satisfied, especially saving 19,800.00 bucks in the process.

Dont forget though not a chance anyone paid 44k for it, i was looking a silverado ss which are about in that price area and without even haggling ten seconds with the salesman his price was down to 31k on a band new one.

I've purchased all my vehicles from the same dealer and won't go anywhere else. This is my 5th Silverado and everytime I've shopped they were the best price by a nice margin and if I need service work done they always cut me a break on parts and labor.
