I just got back into model rockets for the first time in about 10 years. Haven't built any since I turned 16, truck took all my income at that point. Anyways, since going to college and moving out my Mother sold all my old stuff. I had this slick little gadget that held the tube and fins in lace while the glue dried. There was center platform that flat fin guides attached too, in the basic 3 or 4 fin postions. Then you clipped the fins to them and let the glue dry. I have been searching the web trying to find something similar, but haven't found any yet. Anyone know of a similar product or a good place I should search? I am not into anything high-powered or advanced, just messing around with basic Estes kits and modifying them. Anyways thanks in advance.

I got tired of plain rockets, so I modified the little CO2 cars to hold a D-size rocket engine... The stories that ensued... Anyways sorry byt the rockets I built had fins pre attached, so don't know where you can get one. Try Hobby Lobby.

I got that one, thanks though. It is not the greatest. The closest I have found is THIS, but the guy wants $129 for the whole set. I used to have a plastic one that was similar and I picked up for maybe $15. No one seems to have a clue of what I am talking about though. I'll probably end up using the machine shop here at work some day to mak me one similar to the one above.

Haha, I bought 5 rockets, a launch pad, 6 engines and am at $60 vs $129. I understand why it is priced that high. Just not sure I am "that" into rocketry again yet.
