Ive been looking at this tune for a little bit. I was looking for a tune for increased mpg. Does anyone have one and what real world results were you getting? What kind of tune did you get? Is it possible to get increased mpg with increased hp tune? BTW the truck is an 04 silverado ext cab 4x4 5.3l

Hey Slim, I just put my tune in this morning from Jesse @ wait4me. Although I cannot give you any MPG info I can tell you that they claim a 3-4 MPG increase along with the extra power. You can even specify if you want a Fuel Economy tune if that is your main concern. I thought "More power AND better fuel economy... this is no brainer purchase!" Like I said, mine is only in about 2 hours now, so this is not a testimonial. I am just saying what I found out with about 4 months of homework before I purchased. For $158 it will pay for itself in no time!

How is that tuning done? Do you have to remove your computer and mail it to somebody to reprogram it or do you take your truck somewhere to let them do it?

Thats the beauty of wait4me tunes he mails you the updated pcm right to you door ,you keep your old one . Just installed mine today and it is great . I've had my economy tune since August and to tell you the truth, I noticed only 1 maybe 2 mpg increase in mileage and to me, that's really negligible. The performance increase is where it's at. I'm sending mine back for a "haul a$#" program!

I got mine 8/05 and got the economy tune. With A/C last summer i got 20.5 average hwy and now in winter17.5 city. Very happy with mine.

I've had mine for a while now and I average about the same as redvett above. 20.5 highway and about 16ish in the city. I overall didn't notice much gain on the tune. I noticed everything seemed to be more consistant mileage wise though. Power and shifting gains is what I was after and I like those.
