New guy from MI

Hey everybody,

I am probably the youngest here at the age of 19. Well lets see, I currently have a 1996 GMC Sierra SLT Z71 ext. cab truck. Its actually one of my dad's old company trucks. It has 245,000 miles on with original tranny and every other part. It runs like it is brand new!! It amazes my dad and I. Nothing has ever gone wrong with it, no leaks, nothing!! But, I am looking at a newer one. I have no clue what is the best year to buy or anything along that lines. But this is my first post, so I am sure I will be posting more in the future!

Welcome here. I have a 1988 step side truck. People on this sight says there should be a z71 code in the glove box. If you get a chance the next couple of days, see if you have a z71 code in your glove box. I would appreciate it. Thanks. I also have a 2005 Avalanche and love it. Thanks again....
