Basic Modification

Hey all - another noob, sure this is a but I'll ask anyways.

 

My dad just got a new to him truck (04 Sierra K1500 - 5.3l engine) and is looking to do some simple modifications to give it a little more pep. I've got some experience with GM sportscars - see sig - but don't know much about what's out there for the truck.

 

I'm thinking that a good air intake and and nice duel exhause system would be a good place to start. can anyone point me in the right direction for what is good stuff to buy.
