Which Tire??

On my silverado im thinkin about putting a wider tire on but still keeping the sidewall height down to add that sport truck look so which is better the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 or the BFGoodrich Radial T/A?

I used to have the BFG Radial T/A. Great tire, lasted a long time, great traction in all weather and sporty looks.

i dont know if my stock rim will hold a 265-60R-16

the stock rim width is 16.5 so i dunno what to do about that

the stock rim width is 16.5 so i dunno what to do about that

There is no such thing as a stock rim on a passenger car or light truck that is 16.5 inches wide (maybe on some $ 1million exotic car?) For a 265-60R-16 tire, a typical stock rim width would be about 7 to 9 inches wide.

I prefer the bf goodrich but I agree with above posts that you will probably need to get wider rims to make the tire run good and flat on the road and not look like a balloon like a lot of peoples tires look like on 4x4s with very large tires on stock rims.
