Forgive me if this has already been asked...I call myself searching.

I have a 2003 Tahoe with the in dash 6 disk changer. On the back of the radio is an open plug..I think a 12 pin (not sure though). Could I install xm like a factory install and use the steering wheel controls? If yes, what do I need to add this?

If you're talking about the one next to the 24 pin, you should be able to install XM. I have an XM Direct in my 05 Yukon connected to my TNR and I can control volume, source, etc. using the steering wheel controls. Pretty much plug and play.
