Changing a headlight

So i know this is stupid to even ask because i'm sure it's very easy... But how do you change the headlight(lo beam) on a 2001 Silverado. I can't get the light out and I'm scared of breaking something on my truck. I want to make sure I do it right. Thanks, Andrew

ill give it a go (never a stupid question) btw

 

1. pop hood

 

2. locate the 2 metal L shaped rods ontop of the head light

 

3. pop the L rods out (i think towards the front of the truck)

 

4. pull up on the rods

 

5. carefully take the head light housing out and away from your truck

 

6. unplug the low beam bulb

 

7. twist the bulb i think counter clockwise and remove

 

8. repeat steps 1-7 on other side

 

9. work from #7-1 for installing the new bulbs

 

10. Most importaint dont worry about hurting your truck. just remember its a truck and its ment to be used and used hard
