howdy, i have an 2003 2500, 6.0, 3:73, 4l80, all that good stuff, and when i am sitting at a stand still in drive or reverse and i give the gas a quick hard tap, about a second later i hear what i would describe as a slight clunk? this happens about 60% of the time, i have 35,000 on it and im going to take it in one last time before the warranty is up, and i want to describe this to them.

has any one else had this similar problem?? any ideas????

I had the same thing happening on a 2000, 1500. I believe there is a certain amount of "slop" if you will, THROUGHT the drive train. Once in a while it all gets loaded to one direction, opposite of drive rotation and when you hit the gas it unloads. IE 1/64" at 4 different locations and you hear a CLUNK. It's annoying but doesn't seem to do any damage.
