Binding transmission???

My brother has an 05' 2500HD with the Duramax/Allison auto combo. He has less than 6000 miles on the truck and over the last couple of days he has noticed a "binding" sound coming from the trans. only when he is backing up. I have not heard the noise as he lives in Fl. and I am in virginia, but I thought I would jump on here and see if you guys would have any ideas of what the problems could be. The truck is 4x4 crew cab and he has put slightly larger tires on. I believe 295's if I'm not mistaken. He has also turned the front up about an inch to try to level it out a bit.

let me know if you have any ideas.

much appreciated!

one idea....

Ask him if he only hear's it when backing up and turning. If so, he may need to trim the corner edge of the plastic air dam in front of his 295's.

Yea, already thought of that. He said that's not the case, that he is not rubbing. He is taking it to the dealer as we speak and leaving it with them. I just know dealers nowadays, and the chance of them actually finding anything wrong is practically zero...so I thought I would give you guys a shot.

I did just speak with him while driving and he said the dealer said something about a "load motor" possibly being bad? Would that make sense? I do not speak Chevy language as I have an 06' F350, but you guys seem to be alright :banghead:
