hood hinges

ok i was in a car accident a few weeks ago and ive replaced my front driverside fender but i havent been able to get my hood to align so ive been driving hoodless for about a week now.

 

in the accident, one of the hood hinges broke clean in half so i went and bought a brand new one and now after i installed it i cant get my hood to even close straight without hitting the new fender.

it seems my hood isnt closing close enough to the vents right in front of my windshield, when i try to force it close, it will be about a 1 - 1.5 inch space between the vents and the hood.

 

im wondering if i should replace the other hood hinge or just try to man handle it and bend it over.
