Leveling 05 Yukon Denali

I am interested in lowerin the rear of my 2005 yukon Denali so that it will match the front. The truck has self-leveling suspension, and i know that it is possible to trick the system.

Has anyone done this before? or know exactly how it can be done?

Any advice would be awesome.

EDIT: Upon further review, i realized there are springs in the rear also. I guess i am now changing my question to.. What is the cheapest way to match the rear height to the front?

i have a '03 Tahoe and a local shop here in Austin told me he could drop my tahoe by cutting the springs in the rear and replacing the self-leveling shocks. rough quote was $395, then just adjust the torsion bars in the front and re-align.

btw. i have 285/50/20's

I would do some 2" drop springs. The coils in our trucks are tapered at both ends, if you cut some coils off they will no longer fit the spring pocket. You will also have to adjust your height sensor, or you will have the auto leveling shocks lifting it right back up everytime you start the truck.

I installed the Ground Force kit on my 05 Denali XL

Took 3 allignments over a period of about 6 months as it settled but the end result was a deadnuts level truck that looked great lowered.

I still think that there is a way to bend the sensors to allow it to trick the self leveling to bleed air out and lower a stock truck. I just never had time to bend it one way or another and mess with it to find out.
