i have as well. got stuck on. =(

I did around 85-90 and it was fine. I wouldn't recomend that in 4 lo :shakehead:

I was in 4Lo the other day and I couldn't get over 30 mph, would not shift into 3rd.seems like the ECM was holding it back. :wtf:

you know thats a good to tear tuff up right? 4lo is meant for slow crawling...not going fast. I wouldn't go faster than about 45 in 4hi and no where near 30 in 4lo

Duhh, steve, hello??? If your truck is geared anything like mine, you were already in OD (fourth) if you were cruising at 30 in 4LO. My 1-2 shift is at about 1 mph, 2-3 is about at 5 mph, and so on.

The point I was making was the truck would not shift into 3rd gear. When your mudding you want to keep your tires clean right,so your tachin' it up.I bought a 4 wheeldrive to DRIVE in the woods and mudd with not sit around or just see street duty!Where my 98 would shift all they way to OD in 4Lo.So in 4 Lo your saying that your 05 shifts to third and OD?

Around here it snows and I've gone 70mph in 4 Hi before down the interstate.I don't like traveling behind a line of candy a$$es that can't drive in two inches of snow let alone when it's raining.I grew up in Buffalo NY,I learned to drive in the winter.I bought my truck for hammering,If it brakes I'll fix it and hammer it again. What do some of you guys buy 4X4's for anyway??

30 is fast?Huh ever do some real 4 wheelin'?

Oops, my bad. Sorry. I misunderstood your post.

I will now check to see if my '05 definitely goes to 4th gear in 4-LO. If it doesn't, I'll be really pissed (again) about the engineers who took away my options... More later.

I bought mine to use around my Farm, I go out in the mud and ruts alot with it but I never rev the s**t out of it or go at highspeeds in 4wd, I prefer to play it safe, hell I don't even hit the 4wd unless I start getting spin, then I will hit 4hi. You don't even need 4wd that often in the mud unless you are in bogs or you just don't know how to drive in mud

There's this road I go up once and a while. You go through a two foot deep creek at the bottom of this 45Deg. hill and there are big rocks in the road all the way up the hill on this road,There is a rock wall on one side and a shear drop on the other side, just enough room for a truck,I guess I should try to go up it in 2Hi right??Some of the logging roads around here get pretty thick in mud and if you try to go through in 2Hi you won't get far and by the time you hit the 4Hi it won't help your already stuck.Huh

exuse me I said that wrong or well the terminology is different. What I meant by bogs was like thick gumbo mud, which is what you usually find way out in the boonies. I just get a kick out of watching my 16 year old brothers friends "muddin'" their trucks in stuff that I could run through in my stock 2001 Z in 2wd, and they all talk about having to put it in 4lo and s**t...kids these days have no idea how to use 4wd

I hit the Auto 4WD button if it’s raining when I’m driving around town. That way, I can still hammer on it without the truck slidin’ around on wet roads.

How about the manual 4wd's? I know it says you can slip it in while going, but that just doesn't seem like a good idea. I've used it when its snowing and im going a good distance, lot better traction.
