Lube Question

How do you know how much grease to put into the zerks?

 

Someone told me to stop when the old grease starts coming out.  What happens when grease doesn't come out?  Do you stop when the grease starts coming out or after all the old grease has come out?  Or is there a better method?

 

Just wanting to know for my next grease/oil change.

Go till the boot gets firm  Usually 2-3 pumps
