Thank god for summer blend!

Took the 2500HD on a 500 mile trip this weekend. Got 15 MPG @ 74 mph, with 4 guys and about 700 lbs of gear in the back! I would typically get 11-12 on the highway with winter blend. My truck is bone stock w/ 4.10's, 4x4, Plow Prep, and stock tires. Who else as seen the summer blend difference?

Yea, I'm debating if it's the summer blend or the fact that my dealer swapped out my spark plugs. Said they needed to be replaced...oil fouled.

 

I've seen my city MPG jump from 10 to ~11.5

Summer? what summer? We got 2 inches of snow last night on top of the 1 1/2 inches the day before.

 

I love where I live but spring takes FOREVER to show up. Gets a little old when it snows this time of year.

I hear you Trooper. Here in Nebr. it was 30's one week...then high 80's the next...back down to 50's this past weekend. I'm not really sure if it's winter, spring or summer??? Just make up your mind Mother Nature...

getting 50 miles more per tank since the switch to summer blend. Makes a huge difference every april in Michigan.

 

But the crappy winter blend comes back Nov 1st.
