Six-8 bolts depending on bed length. Unplug wiring harness from bed(d/s rear) 3 screws holding filler neck and then lift that sucker up.

What he said... It's light so lifting it is pretty easy, I did mine alone and I arm wrestle again spagetti noodles...

Thanks guys. Look like I've found myself a project for this weekend. When the auto shop told me what they wanted to replace it, I almost sh** my pants. I must be in the wrong business!!!

And watch out if you have rustproofing - wear old clothes!

All the bolts are underneath mine, the bedliner made no difference for me. Alsp I don't remember taking the ground strap loose, there must have been enough slack.

Yeah, mine are all underneath too. Don't have the carriage bolts like the older trucks.

after the bed is slid back, will I need the "special" fuel line removal tool to take the fuel lines off of the pump?

Do you just tip the bed up on the driver side? My pump went too and dropping the tank seems like a pain. This iwll be a solo job!

Actually, my wife and I took the bed completely off and set it in the yard beside the truck. It really wasn't that heavy. I suppose you could tip it up on the driver's side or you could slide it back about 2 feet. It only took about an hour and 40 minutes to do. Wasn't bad at all.
