How much bigger tires

Hi,

 

The GMC 3500 (Dual Rear Wheels) DRW comes with dual 215/70/R16 tires

The GMC 3500 (Single Rear Wheels) SRW single 265/70/R16 tires

 

Is it OK to use 265 for front tires and dual 215 tires for the rear?

 

I do lots of sand driving and so the 215 tires on the DRW are no good as the dont provide enough floataion. Is it OK to use dual 265 tires or even bigger. Most people I know over here use dual 305 tires on the DRW to get good floatation on sand.

 

 

How big of tires can I upgrade to on the GMC 3500 DRW?
