I'm plnning on rebuilding the front-end suspension. I want to do it once and do it right. It's not a show truck but I want quailty to give me a nice ride.

I'm thinking about lowering a few inches in the p rocess.

Any suggestions??

I cannot help you on the lowering part but you want to check/replace upper and lower ball joints and check the control arm bushings too where they attach to the frame to make sure they are still tight.

All the joints, would be my suggestion. In the process put a pair of lowering spindles on. Since you would be doing that then go ahead and do bearings too. Brakes and brake lines would all be readily accesible too, so something to think about. Simply put if it has the ability to wear then replace it, don't forget about bushings as well. ANNNNND if I recall correctly there are a few bushings/joints in the steering column you might want to check, it would be a bummer to replace all that crap and still have loose feeling steering because a joint in the column is loose. Ckeck the power steering box too for play.

Or buy a new truck. :tear:
