black box on windshield

hey guys....i have a question. anyone know what the little square black box on the front windshield is on alot of our minivans and suv's? it's about 2 inches square and mounts below the "eyebrow" of the front window. We have a bet going on. A coworker says that it's the GPS reciever for OnStar and i say it's for the Diversity Antenna". Any thoughts on the subject? I know that OnStar has that ugly little antenna on the roof but i think that's for the advisor...so the box could be for the GPS....Not sure....can't find anyone around here that knows for sure (gotten 3 different storys- GPS ,Diversity antenna, and the Rain Sense system.

It's definatly OnStar related... I don't have the auto-wipers on my truck, so it's not that...

It may be the whole "brains" for the Onstar. The phone connections are Analog only, but would still require some elctronics and since the antenna and microphone are up there it would make sense for the rest of the equipment to be there too. I bet the GPS is in there also...
