That is the only place my Rottie will ride, when he is in the "back seat", all he does is scratch at the sllider.

Never. Too dangerous IMO.

Too many chances for a quick stop or some moron running into me putting his life in danger  :but:

I wish he (Chow) would but he has got to have the air conditioning on at all times.  If you turn it off he just stares at the controls and you till you turn it back on.  He won't even stick his head out the window.

My dogg rides in my moms blazer in the backseat. Props his paw up on the arm rest (door) and chills.

He rides on my ext cab seat and kinda sits up looking out the front window.  He rarely rides in my truck cause i cant stand the dog hair.

We are possibly getting a new golden in the near future and ill probably let him ride with me more

Haven't gone out with a "dog" in quite a while,

in fact most of girlfriends are very pretty. Reat assured

however if they were dogs they would ride on the floor

of the extended cab with the rear seat up. Or was that face up, or, well you know what I mean.

If'n you carry a dog in the bed my Town requires a two-point restraint system, for your canine's safety.

Have a great one!

Well I don't have a dog, and probably won't after being shot down for the 2 canines the dept. is getting, but I wanted to share a little humor.  My brother's pameranian(close enough)sits up front in his Regal and has to have the wipers turned on when heading down my brother's street and both the departure and return.  Of course he barks wildly at them, and I don't see the point in it, but some people.

My dog rides shotgun with me, she loves to sit up front an look at everything.  Sometimes she will lay down in the ext. cab floor if she wants to sleep.  I would NEVER, EVER allow her to ride in the bed of the truck.  It is way to dangerous.  It is the same thing as putting kids in the bed, stupid and reckless IMO.  It is one of my biggest pet peeves.

My lab blue will stay in the back of the ext cab silverado and seems to think that is ok but will try and get in the front seat when she can.   (front or back seating usually depends on how much mud is on her paws.)  I fold the back seat up to give her a bit more room.  Funny though she hated the back of the S10 she would always force her way into the front.

IMO, anything that is living and you care  for, should be sitting in the cab. 3 reasons.

If the dog jumps out or attempts to (I have seen this happen before), he will either strangle himelf on his leash, land on the interstate and cause a wreck ( in which case in VA you would be charged with failure to contain your load), and reason #3, if you slam on the brakes, the dog will go through your back window.

Funny story, One of my family members is a dog nut. She saw a guy driving a pickup with a dog in the bed, and got so mad, she pulled him over (She's not a cop BTW) and made him put the dogup-front.
